Portia felt as if the world was conspiring against her. Britney not only refused to give her the twenty million dollars she requested but her engagement was also called off.

She was furious that her future mother-in-law was so impatient that she didn't even give her time to sell her side of the story to her fiancé but simply exposed her past deeds to her fiancé.

As if that wasn't enough, the person who warned her that if she didn't expose Britney, she would suffer sent her fiancé a large gift. Portia realized it was too late to change her mind.

How could she possibly have the time to expose Britney when she was attempting to save her marriage?
