Chapter 116: Not the Answer They Wanted

Mo Yize reached over and scrubbed at the scuff mark that had appeared on the toe of her new sneakers. It wasn't a big deal but she just needed to show her mother how irritated she was with the whole situation.
"Are you listening to me?" Li Li Hua, her mother said. Her eyes were filled with thinly veiled rage.
"What do you want me to say? He cheated on me, so I trashed his car," she explained sheepishly.
"Were you in an exclusive relationship with him?" her mother asked through gritted teeth.
Mo Yize shrugged. "I was trying to. He seemed like a good guy who cared about me. So, I was going exclusive with him for a couple of months." She paused. "No one knows I was at the scene, either."
"That is not the point, Yize. You are acting out again. What is the cause? Is it because you want my attention?" she asked.
