Chapter 302: Hard life

Lucas got off the bed after getting over his dazed state and wore his boxers before going to the bathroom door and knocking. He did not know what she was thinking or what she was doing to couldn't help but worry.

"Jen, are you okay?" Lucas asked, but no response came from the other side. The inside of the bathroom was eerily silent.

"Jen?" Lucas called, expecting a response, but only silence greeted him.

"I'm coming in," Lucas said and paused a bit to listen for a response, but he couldn't hear anything from this end, so he just interpreted her silence as she was okay with it and he went into the bathroom.

He found her sitting on the toilet seat, and she looked lost in her thoughts. Lucas took the bathrobe that hung on one of the hooks in the bathroom and went to cover her with it.
