Chapter 81: LXXXI. A New Hope.

The eight eyes of the Giant Spider Queen struggled to keep themselves alive and shining, but she spoke once more. "What happened to the egg sacs? Could you save them? Or were you in a situation that forced you to destroy them?"

"Yes, We... Destroyed them." Vanilla responded. "There was no other way. They were already too infected to be cured. We tried everything we could. I am sorry." 

The queen stood in silence for a moment, but she finally spoke once again with her arachnid expression as inexpressive as ever.

"...There is nothing to be sorry about. I understand. They were destined to such fate." She said. "Vanilla, Do you remember when I told you about destiny?"

The mention of her name made Vanilla feel awkward, but she responded nonetheless, recalling the Queen's philosophical monologue. "...Yes. I remember."
