Without hesitating any longer, Vanilla raised her right leg and stepped on the never-ending void impeding their way. She immediately felt her back, calves, and shoulders freezing, but she felt the hunch that there was now no going back.
Lancelot did the same, and without any of them saying anything, they held each other's hands. They were the only thing they were going to have inside that inhumane place.
"Let's go," Q said. "And doesn't matter what might happen, don't dare to look back. You'll suffer something worse than death if you do," She began to saunter into the floorless dark.
Vanilla and Lancelot did the same, walking cautiously on it as if they were stepping on a river of sharp rocks. Like a river, something flowing transversed their feet, except that it was not water, and nothing physical or they were aware of. It was something cold and harmful; something that whistled and howled silently the chants of death and punishment.
