Chapter 221: A Whim

Tilla’s soul left her body when she saw those elongated fangs of Vincent yet again. She wouldn’t probably have been that terrified if she just saw his fangs. But she also saw that look on his face, the look which clearly said that he was ready to feast on every single drop of blood, not just a few drops.

Tilla wanted to run and look for someone who could save her from being killed. However, her legs had completely given up. They wouldn’t move an inch. She thought that was the end for her and accepted her fate that she was going to die at the hand of a vampire.

However, Tilla was surprised when Vincent didn’t pounce on her. Rather, he turned his head away from her. When she followed his gaze, she saw a man who was holding his palms together and was slowly limping toward them.

Although that man was relatively far for Tilla to see properly, she was able to guess from the limping that he was recently hurt. And judging from Vincent’s reaction, he was also bleeding.
