"Why don't you come here?"

Patting the bed, Zander beckons. His suggestion stuns me a bit. He is willingly calling me? "For what purpose?" I frown. What if I end up kissing him for real? I should maintain the distance to keep him; otherwise, he might run away in terror once he got to know me.

"I will tell you the way to survive in this castle. Just come" His gaze is gleaming with bliss as though he has something up his sleeve to get a reaction out of me. Step by step, I approach him. Standing a bit far from him in curiosity. And he seizes my hand, dragging me on his lap.

"You!" Shocked, my eyes widen. A proud smirk tugs on his lips. He makes me want to kiss and swallow him entirely. "Don't move. Or else, things might take a turn" Zander's arm wraps around my waist. His hand tucks my hair behind my ear. Sending chills down to my spine.
