*Cough* *Cough* are you alright? Hugo was with me at the cafeteria; we had already gotten our meal; Hugo looked pale and sweating, his bright face red. He has not touched his meal by the time we sit at this table.
"Yeah, I am already. It's that this food looks unappetizing."
"is that so...."
"Hmm, you d-don't need to worry about me; I fine right now, see,"
Hugo pats his bicep in an attempt to appear okay. Yet, Angelo notices this and tries to persuade him to come to the clinic. But, still pretending to be alright, he bags his spoon and tries to eat his meal before he can take a break. Hugo then collapses.
Fiona saw this and stepped in to support him before he could fall to the floor.
I ask nearby students for help, and the 2 of us let Hugo's armrest on our shoulder, and we begin to drag him out of the cafeteria and head towards the clinic.
After minutes of dragging are good old-looking drunk friend Hugo, we finally got him inside the clinic; we both thrown at him at an empty bed. I thanked the other guy who had to help me before he left us in the clinic.
"Theresa entered the clinic with her usual lab coat and asked."
"So what happened to him,"
"he is sick and has an empty stomach; he persisted on being fine and all,"
"Let me see."
Theresa then places her hand on Hugo's forehead to see if he's sick or pure acting on his part. Theresa then nods, confirming that Hugo is indeed ill right now. If I remember, it did rain yesterday. Perhaps Hugo had forgotten to bring his umbrella.
I was at the hospital yesterday visiting Alicia, it did rain after we all left the hospital together, but I didn't think about much it. Seeing Theresa place her hand on Hugo's forehead, he watched her remove her hand and stand up straight.
Then he watched her walk over to her medical desk, where she grabbed a piece of paper and a fountain pen and began to write.
"What are you writing down?"
"This is a letter of authorization to his couch. so that he can go back home to rest instead of attending practice with his team,"
Thesis said as she dropped her pen, she finished writing the letter. She then gave it to me and told me to deliver it; I nodded my chin and left the two behind in the clinic.
Hugo is sitting straight from the bed and looking at the ground unperturbed. Theresa sighs and walks toward him, asking if he could return to the dorm and rest for the day.
Before he could leave the clinic, Theresa called him out. He turns around and sees her,
here hands up and catch this; Woah, what's this?
It's medicine for your cold, and also eats something before swallowing, okay?
"I got it," Hugo said as he left the clinic. Theresa glances back at Hugo as he leaves the room, whispering,
"I hope there won't be any more problems down the road." She looks at the clocks that hang on the wall.
=====
4:30 PM
After entering the dorm, I felt soggy, and my nose was stuffy. The weight of my head became heavier. As I approached my room, I looked for my keys in the bag; after finding them, I struggled to put them into the keyhole.
"Do you need a hand?"
Unexpectedly, I heard a familiar voice from my left and turned to discover Fiona standing beside me. It's nothing, I said.
"You don't seem to do well..."
While struggling to get the key through the hole, he opens it. But, once he steps inside, my vision blurs, and I almost trip, but luckily I am caught by Fiona, who tries to carry me. My skin touches hers,
"Whoa, your whole body is hot; what happened to you? And you're sweating! Go change some clothes."
"I know, just drop me to my bed."
Fiona then dropped me off on my bed, still fazed at the moment, and she asked where are my clothes, and I pointed at one of the drawers, and she proceeded to open it,
"HOLD UP, don't open it! I'll get it myself; you can turn around as I change."
'A-Alright, I'll go out then…."
(That was a close one, why did I tell her where my all clothes at.)
Fiona then went out of my room and waited for me to change; I wore off the jacket and procced to un-bottom my white shirt. And my trousers, and finally can get all of them to my night clothes.
Fiona peeks and knocks at the wooden door. Can I enter now? she asks in a softer voice. She enters the room slowly as she sees me. Changes into a different outfit.
"Have you gotten eaten yet? If so, would you like me to cook for you?"
"W-Wait, you'll cook for me?"
"Yeah, I'll cook for you; you don't want?"
I nod at her repeatedly; Fiona is now off to the kitchen. Usually, miss Theresa cooks for us; she is our dorm parent, and sometimes some of us help her clean the dishes.
However, I have seen Fiona work in the kitchen before but will rarely be able to taste her cooking.
Besides being a kind and cheerful person, Fiona is also a very outgoing person. She is known for making difficult situations seem easy and always looking after anyone she meets. Unlike any other girl, she was preferred by many.
I lay down on my bed, staring at my ceiling, (Wait a minute, why am I feeling so strongly about her?)
Then the door opens itself and comes in. Fiona brings a silver-plated tray with a bowl; she then places it at my desk. When I sit up and see the bowl, it's egg porridge. I go off to my bed and approach the-called Fiona's cooking pick; I pull my chair and sit at it. I picked up the spoon on the table to taste it.
*nom*
"I was surprised at how delicious this tasted. It was beyond what I expected."
"Nihihi glad to hear that,"
Fiona said as she watched Hugo devoured the egg porridge; a minute later, after finishing the meal, Fiona gave him a glass of water. Alongside the medicine that Theresa had given Hugo to combat his fever.
"Hmmm, is there something wrong with my face?" Hugo asked as he caught Fiona staring at him, "O-Oh it's just, that your beard is so visible at the close that you would look like Santa clause if your hair was white."
"Eh, you think so, if that were the case then I wouldn't mind having white hair similar to you." Hugo said, "Pfft, yeah certainly looked one."
Fiona gently smiled and started laughing at Hugo as she as imagined Hugo being an old fat man with a white beard on his face, giving gifts to kids.
Hugo count help but smile, as well as he, sees Fiona enjoying her company with him.
=====
"Why are you helping me? I ask Fiona, whom I have never gotten closed to until now,"
"As a soon-to-be nurse, I look out for sick people."
"Oh, you are planning to become a nurse? I didn't know that until now; that makes sense." I remember sometimes seeing her in the clinic helping Theresa workaround.
"Don't you like being taken care of?"
"I-I mean... fair enough, that I'm being taken care of by such a beauty as in right now."
I said that as I looked out from the window, avoiding her eye contact. Fiona was disconcerted by the sudden compliment when I glanced back at her for a bit and saw her gaze at my neck and left neck.
"Is there something wrong with my neck?" I said as I used my right hand to check if there was something.
"Humph, it's nothing stupid; I should as well head back to my room; well, take care of yourself now,"
Fiona said as she shook her head when I mentioned my neck.
She stood up from Angelo's chair, and walks to the front door, and said her goodbyes to Hugo before returning to leave.
====
After a while now, Theresa stretches her arms up from her desk after doing all the afternoon work; as she prepares to leave the clinic, the door slides over; Theresa is confused and turns around.
To Professor Garcia, who was in such a hurry, what do you want? Theresa asked when she saw someone with whom she had a connection.
"Where's the artificial boost pill I told you to hold on to?"
"Oh yeah, right, let me grab it quick…."
Theresa stands and walks toward the metallic medicine cabinet. She opens the cupboard and finds the supposed medicines inside. Minutes later, Theresa is now starting to panic,
"It's not here; I know that I placed her there; think for a second, where did I put it? Wait, don't tell me. Did I give it to him by mistake?"
