Chapter 1: A New Friend
Foeseer flew toward to the opening door of Jade Mountain Academy. Her mind bursted with frustration. Agh...This is a bad idea....they could find out about my animus magic! But this can help me get away from my tribe...
Meanwhile...
Stargazer stumble around the corridors, the thousands of minds invading her own causing a massive headache. Foeseer's mind drifted past and she froze.
An Animus..? She turned trying to look for the dragon to the owned mind.
Foeseer sighed and accidentally stepped on Stargazer's tail. Stargazer yelped in pain, swinging around to see Foeseer, "Ow! H-hey..!"
She was caught off guard to see a....NightWing? She had midnight scales, with hints of dark blue. She had dark blue eyes like a thunderstorm in the night sky. Her underbelly was strangely was a bit light blue. She had an IceWing head and white spikes like snow. Her wings were the color of a night sky, but had hints of white.
Foeseer was caught off guard to see a NightWing turning to her. She had dark purple scales and had light purple eyes. Her wings had stars like a midnight sky. She also had light purple scales for her underbelly. She also had diamond white scales beside her eyes.
The NightWing yelped and tried to cover the parts of her scales that were white. "Ah! Sorry! I-I mean! Don't look at me! Please!" Foeseer had hid her face with her wings. Stargazer seemed taken aback at the other NightWing, "I haven't seen you before..?"
"Well I kinda just joined Jade Mountain Academy today...." I shouldn't be here...I need to get out of here....but it's good for me.....but what if someone finds out about my animus magic? What if somebody finds out?
Stargazer wished for anything in the world to turn her powers off, to stop ease dropping in this dragon's mind, "I can show you around maybe..!"
The teardrop scales beside her eyes shown a bit. "Oh thanks!" Foeseer had then stood up and walked beside the NightWing. "So, uh, your probably wondering why I'm a bit white, aren't you?"
"I was a bit curious, but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." she said with a smile.
Please don't say it in your mind either, her thoughts begged.
"Nah, it's ok. I'm used to other NightWings picking on me for my looks. Anyway, it because..... My father was an IceWing."
It was a slight surprise for Stargazer. She knew since the war was over, dragon tribes would mingle. But IceWings and NightWings hated each other! She shuddered, remembering the horrible of reign of King DarkStalker.
"So what's your name?" The hybrid asked.
"My name's Stargazer." She smiled to the hybrid next to her.
"It's Foeseer!" Foeseer smiled at Stargazer. "Pleasure meeting you." she greeted politely. "So I'm taking it you like gazing at stars?" Foeseer smirked at Stargazer.
"I reckon you enjoy foreseeing your foes?" She returned to Foeseer.
Foeseer started laughing. "Hahaha! No! It's my ability to see if a dragon is a foe or not." Stargazer snickered a bit, "That's nice, I was called Stargazer since I stared at the stars before anything else." she admitted.
"Yeah..." Foeseer then looked at the wall of what Winglet she was in. "Hey look! Seems we're in the same Winglet!" Foeseer smiled, she would get to hang out with her friend all the time. "Well, we should go to the den." Foeseer smiled as she walked into Jade Mountain Academy and into the halls.
"Alright!"
This dragon seemed nice. Stargazer was glad she met her, but the secret she had learned about the animus magic she possessed concerned her.
