Elijah threw caution to the wind picking up a bow and arrow he began firing at the rogues but they seemed unfazed as they clamored around her, she now began to lose her footing due to the poison. Elijah needed to think with his head, not his heart. Opening the bag he brought along he checked for the gas he saved for last if all failed it would take out everyone, but he would rather that than Aliyah's life.
noooooo!!!!!. " he heard someone scream. the rogues retreated but not empty handed they had Maxwell the Chief warrior's son with them apparently he had tried to save Aliyah, Elijah watched as Maxwell's father, Ezra now in human form scream in agony.
back to present....
Elijah sat beside Aliyah offering her a soda. she ignored him. He placed the soda down "it's your fault " he stated leaning back against the tree
"what?"
"it's your fault, Aliyah"
"did you come here to rub it in? you think I don't know that already"
"I just told you what you would like to hear"
"leave me alone Elijah, not today"
That was a first, she only addressed him as Omega, it felt awkwardly good. Aliyah made to stand up when she felt tingles as a hand wrapped around her arms pulling her back down
"it doesn't add up " he continued looking straight ahead "if they came for you they would have taken you, you were already weak. They took Maxwell because they wanted to, you did not cause that. Although, I'm not overruling the fact that you were stupid and let your pride get in the way of your reasoning. but I expected nothing less from you, you always act before you think."
Tears stung her eyes, she has always known that but hearing it from Elijah felt like multiple blades piercing her heart.
"Congratulations, you've just stated the obvious" she pulled his hand away wanting to leave before he saw her tears.
Elijah saw her teary eyes, he did not want to hurt her but he needed her to grow up especially if she was going to lead the Pack someday. Without thinking he reached for her burying her head in his chest, she hit him in the chest with her fist but he held her tighter.
After a while, she quite down sobbing quietly into his chest. Aliyah knew if she wanted to escape she could but she needed a shoulder to cry on right now and what other place was best than in the arms of her mate, her body seemed to have a mind of it's own as she settled into his embrace.

Alpha Kalista was distraught, how can the pack be attacked by over 300 rogues so abruptly without any warnings ? Of course, he could handle them but they had something no one foresaw the poison from a mut flower.
This was bigger than it seemed there is no way rogues can get access to that much poison except someone was backing them.
His mind drifted back to Alpha Vernof he had used the same poison at the Shadow pull although his was coated with silver making it more lethal to alphas.
He has to call an emerganncy meeting of all the Alphas. but first, he needed leads on the whereabouts of Maxwell, the son of his head Warrior, his heart ached for him he knew how it felt to lose a child, he almost lost his.
Kalista smashed his hand through the bedroom wall why was she so stubborn!!!, although he didn't think the kidnap was her fault the pack seemed to think otherwise as rumors went round, the stares they gave her behind her back.
He knew they wouldn't dare say it loud but God knows until when. Aliyah just made it more difficult for her to take the post after he stepped down. Sighing he walked to the window looking skyward, there were no stars, Kalista knew this was just the tip of the iceberg there was more to come.

In tornado pack..
Alpha Vernof swirled the liquid in his glass, the past few months had been tough, recovery after the shadow pull was no easy process, he looked at the iron box on his table. His brow pulled together, as he tried to figure out what had gone wrong.
A few weeks before the shadow pull he had received a package opening it, he saw this box and a letter on top. The letter stated that the contents of the box could help him win the Shadow pull. He had come up with a way to effectively use the silver and mut flower poison. It had all gone according to plan until it came to Alpha Kalista.
How had things gone so wrong? he was sure he kept his plan a secret, how did word get out? taking a gulp of his drink he realized he never even bothered to find out who had sent him the package.
