Chapter 4: The List

Clarke looked at the watch at the wall and nodded to herself. Twenty three minutes had passed since she killed the old man but they had yet to breach the place. She had taken a peek outside and saw there were snipers assigned to every window, which was quite overkill but smart. Since they didn't know which window he would use why not just cover them all. But that also brought up the thought of them not knowing how to proceed before time was up.

"Clarke, Clarke, baby, it's me, Ben Thomason. I know you don't remember me but I know you. You are not this person, you are not this killer! You are a kind person, the most cheerful person I have ever met, my love since high school and my life," Clarke heard a person she wished she would forget, Ben, the former boyfriend. "Clarke, please, do not hurt anyone else, come outside, come to me. We can work things out!"

"Ben, is it? How you doing?" Clarke asked.

"I have been worried sick, Clarke. Please, give yourself up, no need to kill anyone else!" Ben said, clearly been fed the lines to say.

"You became their mouthpiece, huh? Not to worry, I already gave them a choice, take me out or watch these oldies die. If they don't have any ideas, why don't I give them? They can breach a wall and storm inside, they can breach from the first floor, they can breach from the roof, they can breach from the kitchen! What are they waiting for, to see if I am serious on my threat? Tell me Ben, are they using thermal sights?"

"Uhm," There was some silence. "Yes and they have your location in sight. All it takes is one bullet from a sniper to kill you. Please, do not let that be the end of you."

"Ahh, you're just been fed your lines, Ben, you don't know how this goes. They do want to kill me, very very badly. I am guessing the local police are pressuring them into breaching as soon as possible due to the old guy I killed. But, they want me alive most of all, probably to be made an example of any other criminal that might think the same as me. Everything has a political move, Ben, that's why they aren't breaching right away, that's why they brought you probably to distract me with my hypothetical love for you.

"They were probably thinking I would start sobbing as the guilt would catch up, start calling you baby as I bawl my eyes off. You would guilt trip me into surrendering and when I come out, rough me up a bit before taking me to a jail cell where I would probably never see the light of day. Tell me Ben, there's something that's been eating me up, is the family of the old guy I killed there?" Silence, that's all there was. "If they are there, tell them he was quite a squealer. He didn't go down silent, no sir. I remember when I landed the final blow, his eyes were looking at me with vengeance, as if his spirit would latch on to me and curse me. Well, I gave a few more love taps to show it whose boss. Oh, look at that, time's up."

"Clarke, don't you do it!" Agent Luke shouted.

"Sorry, bud, I have the duty to entertain. Say, those snipers of yours, are they good shots?"

"Why don't you come to window and find out," Agent Luke taunted.

"Oh, I am. But you see, I have a bomb with me and a Deadman's switch. I get killed and these oldies die together with me," Clarke said in a matter of fact way.

"You're bluffing,"

"Dude, I am not coming up with this along the way, no sir. Come here darling, what's your name?" Clarke picked up and old woman.

"Miranda Kirby," the old woman answered.

"Tell them, Miranda, what do I have in my bag?" she asked.

"It's...Oh God! Please, my family is rich, I can give you money to let me go!" she cried out in fear.

"Rich? I do need money, how much do you think you are worth, Miranda?" Clarke asked in an interested voice.

"Two...Five hundred thousand dollars," the old lady answered, hesitantly.

"Five hundred, huh? Heard that, Agent Luke, she is worth five hundred thousand dollars. If her family can give me that kind of money then I can release her," Clarke said and pushed down the old woman aside. She picked another one and was about to bring her to a window when a shot was fired, grazing her left shoulder.

"Whoever shot that is a terrible shot and should go back to the academy!" Clarke said. "Since you are all not so determined to kill me, I will make you very much so." She turned off the megaphone and turned to the oldies.

"Alright folks, time to send a clear message to the G-men. I want half of you upstairs, now!" Clarke said and personally divided them into half. Some old bat tried to jump him only to receive a slap that killed her immediately. The others quickly got in line and walked as fast as they could up the stairs to the room her wanted. Once they were all in, he threw in one pipe bomb and closed the door quickly and went downstairs where he activat d it. The explosion shook the building, giving the oldies and workers a fright.

"Clarke, what did you do?"

"I gave up," Clarke answered and broke the megaphone. It was time to get out of here if they were just going to drag this on.

"Listen Clarke, the families of each of the old folks in there are willing to give you money to let them go! Clarke, do not hurt any of them! Clarke! Clarke!"

Clarke turned to the twenty three people and brought out the second pipe bomb. They all started screaming in terror, trying to run away but she shrugged at their futile attempt and activated it. All she knew was that it was gonna hurt like a mother fucker and she was right. The explosion threw her to the far side of the room and the shrapnel bouncing off her skin made her feel like she was been poked by blunt needles. The others were not feeling that way though. The shrapnel tore through them like paper and those who were not killed by that had their organs raptured or blown up to pieces. The windows broke from the blast, giving the SWAT a chance to get in, good thing the building was still intact.

SWAT team waited for everything in the building to cool down before they rushed inside through the window. Everything was still smoking but they could see.

"Holy shit, that bitch was crazy!" one of them exclaimed when they saw the bodies of the oldies in there.

"Just keep an eye out for her body," another one said, trying not to throw up from a mangled body in front of him. After searching for a few moments and tossing some rubble, one of them spotted Clarke.

"I've got eyes on Clarke Sullivan," he said through comms.

"Is she alive?" Agent Luke asked, quickly going to see the video feed.

"Don't know, but her body looks relatively intact. Going to search for heartbeat," the man said and reached for Clarke's neck, slowly.

Clarke suddenly opened her eyes, giving the man a fright of his life. Before he could even react, she had taken his knife and slashed his throat open. She got up with him as a shield and rushed towards the closest agent who unloaded onto his teammate. She threw the body at the man who was thrown backwards by the force and Clarke gave the floor a sweep kick, sending ash and rubble towards an oncoming SWAT member. He closed his eyes on reflex and she just took a second to arrive where he was, shoving the knife in her hand right through his armor and into his chest, insta kill. She heard another one approaching so she took out the knife and threw it at him, the knife stabbed him through the neck. The fallen SWAT had thrown his buddy off of him and was about to get up when he felt a pair of legs around his throat. He went for his knife to cut slash at one leg only to feel himself been lifted and brought down to the floor head fast, the action breaking his neck immediately.

Clarke let go of the dead man and picked his gun, cocked it once again and went to look for the other two. She could hear rough breathing behind a wall so she put the barrell of the gun against it and pulled the trigger. The kill was confirmed by a body falling. She then turned and went for the last one, finding him hiding behind a charred table. He opened fire at her, making her duck behind a chair, not that the bullets could harm her but they were watching and she didn't want them to know this soon.

"Why don't you give up?" the SWAT said.

"Not a word in my dictionary," Clarke said before kicking the chair towards the guy and rolling to her left. The guy heard something oncoming and due to his nervousness, he got out of cover and shot at the oncoming object only to see it was a chair. Before he could think of anything else, everything became dark and his body slumped to the ground, a bullet hole on his throat (A/N: I know it can't be an instant kill but this is fiction so fiction it in your mind.). Clarke got up and smiled to herself before walking away just as four agents got inside the house via the broken windows.

"She just took out six members of the SWAT like they were untrained noobs!" one of the new agents said as she looked at the dead bodies of the SWAT team.

"Looks like she got her wish, she just made it to the FBI most wanted," Agent Luke said, gnashing his teeth in anger.

"My name is Daniel Rowdy, Director of FBI. Today, our nation came under attack by a deranged and mad woman. She took hostage a seniors' retirement home, killed two people before emotionally traumatizing her hostages, killed a retired detective in front of National Television, killed everyone else with a bomb then killed a whole team of Special Weapons And Tactics before she got away.

"It is with great displeasure that I announce to you that Clarke Sullivan has now entered the list of FBI most wanted list. She is considered without a doubt to be EXTREMELY dangerous that anyone that spots her is advised to get to safety before calling the authorities. To Clarke Sullivan, the FBI will pour every resource they have into capturing you and bringing you to justice."
