STELLA’s POV

Vince grabbed my arm as if to bring me out of my thoughts and I knew he saw the havoc reeking inside my head.

“Don’t go there…” he whispered to me. “Not just yet.” He smiled softly and pulled me over to the front desk.

“I’m here to see my brother Dino Chavez,” I stated as the girl behind the desk looked me up and down.

I have a different surname as Dino because we have different fathers. And I told the girl that I was here to see my brother because only family was allowed to visit patients here, so it means I was not allowed to see Jennie.

“Excuse me, Miss? We’re here to see Dino Chavez,” Vince gritted through his teeth when the girl wasn’t moving. He stared back at her slightly surprised by his bitter tone.
