STELLA’s POV

“M-marry me?” I asked. “What are you talking about?”

“I am marrying you, Stella, not Debra.” He said, locking his eyes with mine, trying to read my face at the news he just told me.

I stared at him in shock. My lips were parted and my eyes were wide. I knew whatever color that was left on my face drained in an instant.

I felt my jaw drop as soon as the words “I want to marry you, Stella” left his lips.

I was so shocked I forgot to breathe.

I broke out into a cold sweat while he looked at me intently, sitting there nonchalantly.

“But why me? I thought you already agreed to marry Debra.” I was still staring at him in pure shock and horror.
