I couldn’t believe Tyler told me that I was way hotter than Maxine. That’s impossible because I was staring at her right now in awe.

Maxine was popular when we were in high school because of her goddess beauty that made every guy turn their head again to look at her if she was real or not. And now, she was more gorgeous and breathtakingly beautiful. I couldn’t believe Tyler rejected her.

But what was she doing here? Did she come all the way here to take back what was hers?

The maid walked off to give us privacy. Maxine glanced at me with narrowed eyes before turning her attention back to the magazine she was reading.

“Where’s Tyler?” she asked without even looking at me.

I could sit down as well, giving her a warm welcome, talk to her in a nice way, but my body refused to do so.
