Chapter 32: Trying to keep the rumors at bay

It was about to be a lunch break. The office was pin-drop silent with only the click-clacks of the keyboards. Orion's phone buzzed, he instinctively thought it was from Helle. As the mail he received was regarding an important meeting for the next week, Orion assumed, "Gabriel, could you get the lunch?"

"Yes, sir." He pressed on the keyboard and saved his work. He took a stand, headed towards the elevator, and arrived downstairs, where the company employees were enjoying their meals. Due to the loud noise, the sounds from the cafeteria could be heard from far away.

'Got to do it fast,' Gabriel assured himself and reached the front desk, where he always met up with Helle. Often, she could be seen at the lounge, but that day she was nowhere to be seen. 'Where is she?' Gabriel turned his head in all directions, till where his eyes could reach, but it was in vain.
