"Lex." I called out to him before he could walk away. "I will help sort them out so it's done sooner. After that, I want to talk to you in our room." I noticed that there was a dull, gray shadow filling his eyes, and it started to worry me. I needed to know what happened to him.

"Yes, Talia, I would say that there is a lot we need to talk about." He eyed the hellhound then the demons who were standing around me. He wanted to know what had happened to me as much as I wanted to know what happened to him.

As Lex went to get Rudy, I turned to the others who had accompanied me here. They were looking a little confused, and slightly amused. I think they were intrigued by the exchange between me and Lex. That didn't matter for the time being. I needed to get them settled in so that I could talk to Lex and settle in for the night myself.
