Chapter 303: Recourse?

Jayce could physically feel the heat decrease at a rapid rate from the surrounding Magma, turning the once vibrant and bubbling pool to begin solidifying steadily. He could only watch on aghast as the supposed heavenly treasure was reduced to nothing more than a warm bath of lava.

'Oh shit, I really f*cked up now.' He thought inwardly, staring at the reaction of Elder Qing in front of him.

He contemplated making a run for it, before his rationality got the better of him. Elder Qing was at least a Nascent Soul cultivator, even though he had just broken through, they were light years apart in strength.

If he so chose, the Elder could more than likely crush him with one hand.

'T-This kid…' Elder Qing was so shocked that he stared at Jayce with his mouth agape for far too long. It was only after almost a full minute that he finally managed to compose his thoughts.

"H-How are you alive?" He blurted out in disbelief.
