The rage burning in his heart subsided when he felt her tears on his lips. He wanted to shout and run after that man hunting him down for hurting her but here she was stopping him from doing so.

"Why do you always do that" Alice heard him say as he pulled back from the kiss. The coldness in his eyes was now replaced by helplessness.

Noah didn't want to be vulnerable not at this moment when he was just a step away from teaching Brooke the biggest lesson of his life.

Alice looked at Noah and felt a pang in her heart. She was scared because she didn't want Noah to commit any crime in a fit of anger.

When she didn't answer him, Noah pressed their foreheads together and gnashed his teeth as he tried to suppress his animosity. He knew only she had the power to tame his madness but he also knew it wasn't the right time to let Brooke go without being warned.
