Chapter 59: Hidden relationship

Gwen stepped inside and settled down, sitting next to him and watching him start the engine.

She turned to look at him but stopped when she saw his straight face.

'What happened to him? She thought, pursing her lips and looking away.

The way he left her behind and walked away made her feel weird. He had never been like this with her but now being quiet made her wonder if she had made any mistake, which is why he was silent.

The atmosphere inside the car had turned gloomy as no one spoke. Gwen kept glancing at Karl but didn't speak. Maybe he wanted to drive without any disturbance, she thought, and she turned her head to the other side, looking out the window.

As she looked at the passing landscape, the car suddenly stopped, and her link broke. 

"Dammit..." she heard Karl curse and step out of the car to check what happened.
