At the hospital, Nick sat with ice on his hands from hitting Brads face, and a little bandage over his right temple while waiting to get to see Sam. He just sat thinking about how he could have lost her if he didn't get there in time. His heart clenched at the thought. She had slowly become his world and didn't think he could have gone on without her. 

"Nick, is Sam okay?" Grace and Brody came running down the hall to him. "Dad called me and told me to check on you and Brody said you called. You two idiots could have been hurt. Didn't you learn anything from what happened to Hunter and Eve?" 

"Grace, what the hell are you doing here?"

"I've been in New York helping Brody with the release of the new magazine. I was asleep when Dad called. Are you okay?" 

"I'm fine. She kicked the guy's ass before I got to them. The cops said she broke his face and couple ribs."

"How bad is she?" Brody asked.
