Chapter 3: Deserted

"Bel, my girl. How are you?" seeing her daughter fall, Delilah rushed to help Bella up, looking at Charles in tears.

"Charles, please. Save our girl. Amelia is so cruel. Is she trying to destroy the evidence?"

Charles' body was stiff at first, but Delilah's crying brought him back to life. He seemed to wake up suddenly and strode to Amelia.

Then he stared at Amelia as if she was an enemy.

Amelia had never been stared at like this by her father for her whole life.

Looking at Charles' furious eyes, Amelia couldn't help but tremble.

"Dad... I didn't push her. Those pictures are fake. Don't believe in those fake pictures, please."

With tears in her eyes, Amelia stepped back and explained to his father in shambles.

Charles slapped Amelia suddenly with all his strength.

Amelia's delicate face swelled up immediately.

"Dad! You slapped me!"

Covering her cheek, she was shocked and couldn't believe what had happened.

She thought at first that her father wouldn't be confused by Bella's words. As long as she had the time to explain, he would surely be able to figure this out.

However, she didn't expect Charles to slap her so hard as soon as he saw the whole thing.

"Don't call me dad. From now on, you are not my daughter anymore. Now, go. Get out of here."

Charles yelled at Amelia all of a sudden and then strode towards the exit of the hall.

"Dad! Dad! Please stay here. I can explain. It's not like what you just saw," Amelia shouted to Charles. But Charles left here without any hesitation.

Seeing Charles leave, Delilah ordered one of her men to send Bella to the hospital.

The man followed Delilah's order and hurriedly sent Bella to the hospital.

At that moment, Delilah saw the folder that had fallen on the ground. She ran to the folder and picked it up, and then trotted all the way out.

After they left, all guests had already known that there would be no banquet tonight and they were ready to leave.

"Michael, please wait."

Amelia cried and called Michael, who was in the crowd and wanted to leave.

Taking a deep breath, Michael stood still, and he did not look back at Amelia.

"Michael," Amelia got up from the ground, walked closer to him, grabbed his sleeve, and asked with hope in her eyes, "you know those are fake. You will definitely believe me, right? Please help me explain all this to dad. Bella framed me. Can you help me, please?"

Getting no response from Michael, Amelia got anxious.

"I won't, Amelia. I'm done with you. I don't have a girlfriend like you."

Michael walked away immediately without looking back.

"Michael! Michael!"

Amelia burst into tears as she saw Michael leave heartlessly. After a short while, she started to pass out.

Seeing what happened here, all guests had no desire to stay here for a banquet anymore and left one by one.

When these people passed by Amelia, no one cared about her and no one came to help her... After all, no one wanted to be related to someone like her.

When all guests left, a young man came over with an assistant. The man glanced at the big screen that was still showing those pictures. He then looked at Amelia on the ground and sneered. Then, he ordered someone to take Amelia out directly despite the surprised gaze of the service staff.

When Amelia woke up, she found herself lying in a presidential suite in the hotel. She looked at the wall, and it was ten o'clock already.

She also found a young man sitting on the sofa beside her bed.

The man was distinguished at first glance. He had a handsome face and clear eyes, and his sitting looked so elegant, too.

Tailored and fitted haute couture suits made his slender body look particularly strong and straight.

After a while, the young man nodded and said lightly, "Okay, that's it. In three days, acquire Hank Group. You can prepare the acquisition plan and send it to me tonight."

The assistant nodded, and then packed up the documents and left. The young man was left alone on the sofa.

Looking at all this and being a little stunned for a while, Amelia was confused.

"Hank Group,

isn't that one of Keadow's top three corporations?

Who is this young man? How can he be able to acquire it so easily?" Amelia wondered.

"You are awake," the young man had seen Amelia wake up, so he walked over to her and asked her softly.

"Yeah," she noticed that the young man was looking at her and suddenly realized that she had been staring at them for a long time. It seemed she had heard something she shouldn't have heard.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it," Amelia blushed and said in a low voice.

"Doesn't matter," the man looked into Amelia's eyes. He suddenly chuckled and said indifferently, "Anyway, even if you spread the word, it won't hinder the acquisition process."

Being looked at by the man, Amelia skipped a heartbeat and started to blush.

The man had a pair of star-like eyes. Amelia couldn't help gazing into them.

In her eyes, Amelia always thought that Michael might be the most beautiful man in the world. He was even better than all those boy band stars.

But compared with the man in front of him, Michael would easily lose all his charm.

Thinking of Michael, Amelia felt a pain in her head. Those scenes at the banquet just now flashed in front of her.

Her dad, younger sister, stepmother, and boyfriend... Those who were always so kind to her turned against her overnight. But the truth was that she wasn't guilty of any of the accusations! "No, I have to figure it all out," Amelia told herself.
