Chapter 254: The Chase

Jules' pov 

        I didn't know how it actually happened, or what suddenly consumed me, but as soon as he said that single word, something propelled me into listening to him. Perhaps it was the submissive part of me, coupled with the thrill of danger that engulfed me and slithered down my spine at that very moment.

One moment, our eyes were locked and I was about to step into the bedroom, and the next moment, I was listening to the sudden urge inside of me that was screaming at me to run.

I spinned around and raced down the hallway, heart lodged into my throat and pulse going crazy. 

Run.
