Chapter 193: "Scapegoat"

The news about D.M. Cadre's Head Scientist being murdered got out. It was the talk of the town for around three days. 

Sanya was found at the rooftop by the security team and she explained the situation to them, that Sanno was there together with three other mutants, and they took Mr. Brentvale, who was, apparently, in the basement. Dr. Jaia also heard it from her and decided to give her permission to access the other basement floors.

Wearing their red-colored official I.D.s, Sanya and Dr. Jaia conversed as they walked beside each other. 

"Honestly, do not usually visit these floors. But now that Dr. Logan is gone, I have to make sure his and Dr. Seth's prisoners will be properly guarded," Dr. Jaia told Sanya, "I was told that the people here have sinned greatly against D.M. Cadre."

Sanya listened to her quietly.

"I wonder what Mr. Brentvale did against us. And why did the snake mutant take him?"
