Chapter 73: "I'll Protect You"

Seven in the evening…

Dr. Cytus Rogerfall visited the vulture mutant in his room, and he heard them having an argument.

"I'm sorry, but it's a protocol. You should follow the rules," Sanya told Lia and Aesop. She furrowed her eyebrows, "He's still a mutant. We're just careful, so that he wouldn't escape like the chameleon mutant!"

"No!" Lia protested. "He's not an animal! Mutants are humans, too! Why are you being like this, Ms. Mayheart!" She was very disappointed in her. She had thought that she's different from other scientists.

Sanya was acting strange, Lia thought.

"You're just a caretaker. Do you want to get fired?" Sanya asked her coldly. She glared at her, "Or perhaps you plan on taking your mutant out of the research facility?!"

"Ms. Mayheart… You've changed," Lia uttered. She couldn't understand her, since she had just treated them in Griller's Heaven a few days ago and she seemed okay.
