I could see the way he looked at her even if she didn’t notice. That cop must have been the one that took her from me in the first place—I wanted to rip him in half. He took everything from me and here he was trying to win my girl over as if she was something he could take.
I saw the way he leaned into her when she hugged him. It made me see red for a moment and Erik had to hold me back from tearing off his door and killing him in the street for touching her—and everything else he did. He burned down my home and left the last pieces of my family in flames. Wouldn’t it only be fair if I did the same to him?
She finally went inside and I had to wait for the asshole to drive off before I followed her in. She left the gate a little opened just as she promised. Erik stayed behind to keep as a look out—he didn’t need to be in there anyway.
