Synopsis

"What the fuck did you send over, Nicky?" Laurie is screaming over the phone at six fucking o'clock in the morning.

"It has a note. And I believe that the message was clear." the name Nicky answered.

"Well that's exactly, why I am asking!" she exclaimed angrily, glaring at the innocently looking red leather pill box, that is instantly recognizable as a famous jewelry brand, sitting on her kitchen counter, with a note that says - I heard you cry over a guy, here's a small gift to let you know that I'd marry you anytime.

With the familiar scrawling penmanship in the white piece of paper, she would know who sent her the note, even without calling the guy on the phone.

***
When the guy you confessed to rejected you, and your two exes came back running—declaring they would marry you any time, what would you do?

Would you choose a familiar old love or the one that has your heart but doesn't want you?

And to add to the chaos, her mother is on a mission to marry her nearing thirty-something ass to any man who breathes.

What should a girl do in such a situation? Run away, of course!

But then, how far can you run away until all the life's decisions you screwed up in the past caught up with you and you ended up with no choice but to face them.

Welcome to Laurie’s adventure and just to be clear this is not a love story BUT a quest.

A fun and exhilarating rendition of finding a husband. The story is in a slow pace that I can tell this book is going to be a slow burn and a death of me who are waiting for the next chapter 🤣😂😅🤣

The flashbacks are hilarious. Andrei and Laurie is a comedic duo. But in the synopsis, there's a different name... when is the ML going to appear?

I loved this novel! This was such a great read, author. I love the humor and the flow of the story, even the narration, and the dialogues were on point. I got hooked from the first chapters and I enjoyed it greatly. Well done, I will, for certain, leave this story in my library craving for more.😊

Nice hooking synopsis and well-versed narration. Wordplay was in its finest but still can be improved. I am happy that the author joined spirity as it has the potential for a movie or anime adaptation. More power stones and viewers until you reach a million views! Good luck with the spirity!

Not bad. I liked the plot progression and the story. The style is simple and it works for the story. there were some awkward sentences but they didn't hamper the enjoyment. Good luck author.

I’ve read and caught up with the chapters. Knowing the author and have read her other books, this story is another good read that I know is guaranteed to make you relate and laugh at the same time! Being Asian at the same time, I could already relate to the sentiments of the characters. Like the saying that goes said by Uncle Roger, “Treat your children like garlic. They are never enough.” 😂 I love how this story is starting already—it is a good entry for Slice of Life indeed! 💪 Let’s do great in the Spirity! I love you. 😘

I totally binge read this story. Really enjoyed the characters and actually found myself at one point rooting for a rekindling of her first love and for Dominic to redeem himself, but it made sense based on her strong stance of betrayals. Good story that had me reading every chance I got!
