Chapter 1: prologue
The rain beat down on his back as he dragged the corpse deeper and deeper into the forest, crashing the body against a tree or two as he stumbled on the wet mud until he finally found the grave digging spot, marked with a shovel that had formerly belonged to the Malfoy family house elf. He dropped the limp body off to the side.
The dirt was soft as he pushed his shovel into it, picking up a small mound of dirt. It was wet from the pouring rain, and Malfoy felt it begin to soak through his uniform and down his back. He sighed as he dug the hole, not knowing quite how to think for himself, or how to disobey his father's orders.
He stared at the cold, dead, eyes of the boy he was about to bury.
"Guess they can't really call you the boy who lived anymore, can they Potter?"
