Chapter 24: THE NEW MATE
"Ugh!...why is the sun so bright today?"
The sun was so bright that even though the curtain was covering the window it was still hitting my eyes...a lot, I wonder how it will be when I actually face my eyes to the sun. I got up from bed and it seems I woke up a little late today, it was already 10 minutes passed 7. I rushed to the bathroom to get ready, I brushed my teeth and took my bath and maintained my self. When I was done, I went on to my phone cause I switched it off for no reason last night after the whole search for Momoi.
After I switched it on I got a text from Hayami which was sent almost 30 minutes ago.
[Already gone to school, breakfast is in the kitchen and Momoi is not home, also don't forget the workout schedule I prepared for you]

Wow shes early, and where did she take Momoi to..oh well as long as their together then there's nothing for me to worry about. And that's right she said she was gonna create a workout schedule for me...if only I had remembered before bathing, I took a look and the schedule;

Run from home till school.
[Fail to complete this task comes with severe consequences so I would comply if I were you].
At first when I saw this, I thought it was a joke but imagining Hayami's face with a freaky smile suddenly appeared in my head which changed my opinion that it wasn't a joke. She said it comes with consequences, how will she know if I did it, if I didn't or if I did it halfway through.
This is cruel, does she want me to go bald after three years of taking this training like Saitama, or is she just messing with me. Time was flowing by quiet fast so I guess I will have to start the exercise or training from tomorrow. I changed into my uniform and went down to the dining for breakfast. I didn't eat much as it was already 35 minutes past 7. So I just rushed out while Knotting my tie. it will take me approximately 15 minutes to get to school and that would be sharp 8 so I should run while having 5 minutes to spare and use it to rest, which should cancel out one of the training schedule but whatever.

*HUFF*HUFF*HUFF...
I panted heavily as I sat on a bench after the gate of our school, assembly is still going on but I don't really care I have 5 minutes before I stand up, some of the students coming after are looking at me like I'm some kind of freak, I don't really care about them cause I ain't living my life for their opinion, You hear me, well they can't here me cause this is my heart's inner thought. The assembly ended and school began as it usually does.
"Class lectures is about to start, but before that happens we will be receiving a late new transfer student who will be joining us from today, You can start by introducing yourself to the class so go on"
The teacher said while standing at the podium, but a transfer student this late...its weird. The new student walked into the class cause I noticed that all the dudes eyes were glued to the person like it was some kind of giant magnet, since the guys were following the individual like that it should be obvious that it's a female. Catching my interest I looked at the new student.
"What the!?"
I startled for only a moment but some words flew out of my mouth.
"Is any thing the matter Higata?"
Our teacher asked me with Piercing eyes so I quickly denied by forming an 'X' with my hands as I looked away from the podium, I was probably too scared to even around there.
"Umm..My name is Momoi Tatsuya, I know my transfer to this school is a little late so I will be under your care from now, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF ME!"
She concluded her introduction as she bowed and walked away to seat on the very seat which was in front of me to my right hand side. Most of the guys started to jubilate at her welcome. I don't know, I guess I feel a little sad cause they have no idea, looking at their faces sparked with a new hope and can't wait for break period cause it will be a competition on first talk, first friend.
But i hope she doesn't come and talk to me, cause the glares I'm currently getting is already bad news, so once the break bell rings I've gotta bust away not to attract attention. Cause Hayami senpai owes me some explanation, and I bet she placed her in my class on purpose.
"Hey are you ok?"
Someone asked me from my side, I turned to look at who it was and it was Hibana...it seems she was worried about my behavior just now.
"Oh, it nothing...just that somethings happened unexpectedly but I'm fine now"
I replied as I faked a small laughter for her to not be worried
*DING*DONG*DING...
As soon as the bell rang and the teacher left the class I also left quickly. I could tell some of the boys already leaving their seats heading for my Momoi's seat. I didn't want to run around the hallway so I just raced walked heading for who knows where, but the first place to check is the table tennis club room, so I started heading towards there.
"Umm..e-excuse me but could you come with me for a bit"
A guy called out, from his tone I could tell he's breathing pattern wasn't stable, maybe he was running. but I still wasn't clear if it was actually me who he was talking to.
"Who?, me?"
"Yes just follow me"
He said as he walked away, if this was outside school I would have called dibs on kidnapping but we're still in school so I gotta remove the thought from my brain. He walked heading towards a remote part of the school, I didn't even know this part existed. We got to the corner and he stopped while looking at his feet cause it was a dead end.
"So...what exactly did you want to talk to me about?"
"Actually I'm not the one who wanted to talk to you, I was only called in as a mediator between contact for the both of you".
Both of you?, when he said those words two people came out from hiding close the guy who came to call me. The guy left hurriedly, The person who called to me was someone who was very popular, and the other one with him became popular due to mostly always being with him and the dressing style even after the warning. It was Gin Hajime, the schools Mafia boss and his pathetic regular side dog, Eri Etsuko. I knew it was now possible that someone was following us so I turned to look behind through my shoulder and found that I was right as Jun Hoshi, with his big build was coming at me in a slow pace as if monitoring me.
"The last time we were talking we got interrupted, so I decided we bring you to somewhere that no one can interrupt us".
"Why did you call me here?, from the looks of it I don't think you just want to talk with me"
"I told you to stay away from her but you didn't listen and you go and stay even closer with her, were gonna give you a scar that when you plan to or even talk to her you will remember my words while the scar aches"
"Look it's not my fault, she told me to sit next to her, and you're gonna use three people against me alone that's not fair"
The guys know Martial Arts and there's jun Hoshi with his giant stature and also Eri she might know Martial Arts as well.
"Couldn't you have just refused, but oh well, it won't be three on one, but the pain will feel like a three on one"
He said as he signaled jun Hoshi behind me with his eyes and the guys started to walk at a faster pace.
"Isn't bullying against the rules here in this school"
That voice, it's Hayami Senpai's voice. I turned around and saw her behind Hoshi. Since Hayami Senpai is here there is a better chance of winning but this guy won't stop even going against a senpai and a girl at that. I turned back to look at Gin and the look on his face and the on Eri's were surprising, it was like they were terrified, I was like do they know how strong Hayami is? and then I noticed why they almost wet themselves, the pressure coming from Hayami was intense to the point that a normal human would foam out.
"We'll deal with when there's no interruption, smell you around..let's go"
tyhe look on his face was indeed terrified but I could tell he hasn't given up as they left. I could see him glaring at Hayami who didn't even bother to look at him back and she just walked towards me.
"You ok?"
"Yeah...but you've got some explaining to do"
