Darcy pulled her hands out of his and stepped back.
"Excuse me, my Lord. My hand is all healed up and I would like to continue my work."
Clarissa knew something was wrong as did Raven. Her tone sounded off.
"Of course, " he said with a hesitant smile and stepped back as well.
Perhaps he should give her space to do her work. He had won a dance from her. Now all he had to do was make small talk with her as they left. He would make sure to see her and her father to their carriage.
He started walking towards one of the seats.
Darcy glanced at her father. The look on his face told her her suspicions were correct but she wanted to be sure. "Michael! A thread please."
Her heart was in her throat as she waited but she didn't have to wait up to a second.
Raven turned around to answer her call. He realized his mistake as soon as he'd done that and saw the hurt look in Darcy's eyes.

OR
Task within six days ( Monday to Saturday) to get four chapters instead of two
1) fifteen golden tickets 2) 45 power stones 3)1 super gift 4) 5 reviews 5) 15 chapter comments 6) 15 paragraph comments 7) 30 to 40 privilege unlocks ( if these are greatly exceeded. I'll make it 5 chapters instead of four.)
