Clarissa went back to her room to get ready for dinner with the king. 

Just as she had ordered, Scarlett was there waiting for her with everything ready and the work assigned to her done. 

Clarissa gave no compliment nor did she scold Scarlett. She bathed and then prepared to have dinner with the king. She even took more time than usual in getting ready. 

When Clarissa was fully dressed, she admired herself in the mirror. She would ignore the king alright and make him burn at the sight of her beauty. 

She smiled to herself extremely pleased. The extra time she had spent on herself was worth it.
