Sure, it was already so close to the ground, but as long as it wasn't at rock bottom, Alex would find a way. Now that every distraction had left his side, he would put his focus on regaining their lost glory. When that happened, he would face it off with his enemies, because this was a war. 

Granted, he knew the battles had long begun, but he'd been hoping it all was just an illusion. Learning about Amelia being Jay now made so much sense. 

The woman had chipped in and helped him save the company, which by the way Alex had failed at managing and she had to show up this time, again, but as Amelia. The woman had played her games so well, however, if Alex had paid a little attention, he could have noticed all the signs.
