Everyone Nik loved, he had lost, except Lia, because right now, as he looked at Jenny, he wasn't sure she wanted him anymore.

He already saw a rejection coming. 

"Don't worry, I'll just tell them I came to ask for details about Lia, things that we could use to cheer her up. Malyshka has been suffering for a long time, I think it's better that way. And I— I'm sorry Jenny. I shouldn't have... I— " Nik said but stopped midway. 

"You talk too much," Jenny said before slamming her lips on his. She had been thinking of them from the moment they got out of their home. She had been trying to hold back, but no matter what happened in their family, she loved this man. 

She cared for him too much to let him go and she was tired of hearing his doubts. 

Jenny knew there was no one on the other side of the door. Their siblings were never there in the first place.
