Chapter 31: The Capture
Yun Yun saw Xiao Yu nod and stopped talking. With a flutter of her wings, she gracefully soared into the sky and swiftly headed toward the cave entrance of the Amethyst Winged Lion King on the mountain peak!
Yun Yun's figure was not hidden as she approached the cave entrance. Since this was the domain of the Amethyst Winged Lion King, only two third-tier magical beasts were stationed here as guards. The guarding beasts roared at Yun Yun, who, with a wave of her hand, summoned a green longsword. The sword transformed into a green streak of light and swiftly ended the lives of the two magical beasts.
The roars of the magical beasts and the surge of Yun Yun's Emperor-level Dou qi caused the surrounding beasts to flee in panic. Only the Amethyst Winged Lion King inside the cave could rival such a powerful human!
"Who dares to be so insolent before me?" An enraged roar came from within the cave. The furious voice, mixed with a violent aura, prompted Xiao Yu to see Yun Yun retreating to the sky, while a purple streak of light shot out from inside the cave.
"Human, you dare kill my kin? Do you seek death?" the Amethyst Winged Lion King roared.
Xiao Yu finally got a close look at the Amethyst Winged Lion King. It resembled a lion from Earth, but was four or five times larger, with a pair of purple wings on either side of its lion body and a fiery red spiral horn on its lion head. The hovering Amethyst Winged Lion King looked incredibly majestic. Xiao Yu thought that if he ever reached the Emperor-level in his cultivation, he would also like to experience the sensation of standing in mid-air!
Yun Yun had no intention of negotiating and directly attacked the guards at the cave entrance, clearing the way for Xiao Yu to enter and retrieve the Amethyst Spirit Crystal. After a few quick movements, Xiao Yu reached the end of the fork and saw a smaller creature compared to the Amethyst Winged Lion King, sleeping on the ground. He took out a purple jade vial from his chest. Inside was a carefully crafted hallucinogenic drug intended for high-level third-tier and fourth-tier magical beasts. This little Amethyst Winged Lion King was at most a third-tier beast, so the hallucinogen would definitely work.
After pinching his nose, Xiao Yu poured the hallucinogenic drug from the vial. With a gentle swipe of his dou qi , the drug flew towards the sleeping little Amethyst Winged Lion King. The creature's nose twitched before its entire body went limp, falling into a deep sleep that would last for a while.
Xiao Yu carefully entered the cave, observing the purple glowing walls. He took out the ink-scaled tool and tapped on the wall until he discovered the Amethyst Spirit Crystal behind a piece of purple crystal. After collecting the crystal in his spatial ring, he grabbed a piece of Amethyst Spirit Stone and rushed towards the other fork where the real prize awaited.
Upon arrival, Xiao Yu saw the purple sphere on the stone platform and eagerly licked his dry lips. He then stood before the Amethyst Crystal Vein, swung the Amethyst Spirit Stone, and smashed it down. His fighting spirit promptly gathered all the falling Amethyst Crystal Vein into one place. After filling a large white bottle with the collected crystals, he sighed in relief.
Roar!
An extremely angry roar came, causing Xiao Yu's expression to change, "Damn, this beast is too closely connected to the Amethyst Crystal Vein!"
Xiao Yu activated the Moon Shadow technique and fled towards the cave entrance, realizing he could not afford to delay. Just as he exited the fork, he saw the little Amethyst Winged Lion King swaying towards him. The drug's effects hadn't completely worn off yet. The light purple beast's eyes glared at Xiao Yu, and with a roar, it unleashed a violet energy beam at him. Xiao Yu dodged the attack with his agile movements.

The immense energy blast created a large hole in the cave wall behind Xiao Yu. Shocked, Xiao Yu said, "Hey, are you serious? I'm quite strong, so don't mess around!"
"Roar!" The little Amethyst Winged Lion King clearly didn't understand Xiao Yu's words and roared again. Sensing the danger, Xiao Yu flapped his purple cloud wings and swiftly fled towards the cave entrance. The little Amethyst Winged Lion King let out a furious roar, its purple wings glowing intensely as its speed increased rapidly in pursuit.
Xiao Yu exited the cave without looking back and surveyed the ongoing battle in the sky. Yun Yun and the Amethyst Winged Lion King's fight had reached a fever pitch.
The Amethyst Winged Lion King's spiral horn emitted a purple flame, turning the surroundings into a fiery cage. Yun Yun frowned slightly, forming a strange hand seal in front of her, and softly commanded, "Wind Push!"
A violent gust of blue wind erupted, howling and blowing back the purple flames, effectively blocking them.
As Xiao Yu fled through the forest, trying to shake off the pursuing little Amethyst Winged Lion King, he realized the beast's speed was too fast to escape. The sky's Amethyst Winged Lion King also noticed them.
"Human, you dare harm my son!" The Amethyst Winged Lion King shot an energy wave towards Xiao Yu. Xiao Yu, flying at high speed and avoiding the attack, attempted to escape. Yun Yun's expression changed; she raised her green sword, and fighting spirit rapidly coalesced as she called out, "Split Wind Dance!"
The space in front of Yun Yun wavered, and numerous deep green wind blades, each several meters long, appeared and intertwined, forming a spinning vortex that shot out.
Boom!
The attacks collided in mid-air with a tremendous explosion. The overwhelming wind pressure flattened the surrounding trees. Xiao Yu took advantage of the wind force, using the Moon Shadow technique to propel himself and began to outpace the little Amethyst Winged Lion King.
This scene enraged the Amethyst Winged Lion King even more. It roared, "Cunning human, I will kill you all!"
The Amethyst Winged Lion King then howled to the sky. Its purple light intensified, creating an immense pressure that forced all beasts within a hundred-mile radius to prostrate on the ground, trembling with fear of the wrathful ruler in the sky.
The overwhelming energy in the atmosphere made Yun Yun's brows furrow as she felt a strong sense of danger. The Amethyst Winged Lion King's surrounding wind roared, and the purple light enveloped the sky. After a while, it compressed into a deep purple beam only about half a foot wide.
"Amethyst Seal!" The Amethyst Winged Lion King's deep growl echoed in the valley.
At that moment, Yun Yun moved. Her green sword quivered, releasing a slender, deep blue beam that made the space shiver twice. Yun Yun shouted, "Wind Extreme: Meteor Strike!"
