The long shadow is slowly disappearing and I kept on staring at it. Not until it was completely gone did I check my phone so I can see what he is referring to without him knowing about it. What could have happened if I really just followed him that time? Would I be happier? I tried to read some comments as I'm curious as to how it went after my statement:
"She looks effortlessly pretty, gosh, how is she not a celebrity?"
-Celebrity? Will I have the courage to face the public? I don't think so, as much as possible, I want my life to remain private.
"The person who commented above, do your research. I searched her name, and she's an achiever. Top student on both her 2 degrees and is now taking her master's. She's the heir of Eclipse Corp. Why would she even want to be a celebrity? She's definitely more than that"
- just as I expected, people would prefer being an heir more than anything else, and they would judge my decision if I pursued my dream back then. I don't want them to influence my decision even though I am currently unable to decide for myself as well. When will I be able to?
"Really? But she writes songs, that means she's interested in the music industry I think."
- I do, but it doesn't matter now. Not in this lifetime.

"How did they end up in a dating scandal, they totally look alike. What a stupid bunch of reporters"
- People chose what to see, I'm not even surprised anymore.
"I'm now officially her fan!"
"Everyone, I'll make a fan club for Addison, who's with me?"
*alot of "me" replies*
"Aiden is so lucky. Omg, I wish I have a sister like her"
-He's not. I am dragging him down.
"She's a total badass right there, stepping up for his brother"

"I don't care if she's not a lawyer, I'll want her to defend me anytime"

I was too speechless. Aiden wasn't lying after all.
I felt a bit of happiness that they took it positively, but I know I don't belong here. Someday, these people who are praising me right now will eventually turn their backs on me if I do a single mistake. Or they won't even remember me.
Suddenly, I heard my phone ring again, but this time it was Piper.

Worldwide?" She asked upon connecting the line. I can hear from her voice that she was unwilling to believe what I did. Who would?
"Well,
I had no choice. And it's not worldwide, only in South Korea." I answered nonchalantly as if I'm not concerned at all but alot of thoughts are already running wild in my mind and different kinds of emotions rush in.
"Well, it's still accessible worldwide. Don't underestimate kpop and your brother's fandom. Anyway, what are your plans now?

Did they....?" she wasn't able to finish her words. Knowing her, she might be currently visualizing the worst scenarios out there.
"I honestly don't know.
I tried explaining everything to them but for now, I don't know what they're thinking." I said. I'm honestly clueless as to how my parents would approach this. But whatever it may be, I'll accept it because I know I deserve it.
"By the way, I will fly back to Melbourne tonight.
See you tomorrow?" I said, trying to sound unbothered so she would stop worrying.
"Cool, so I can give you my warmest hug.
I'm really frustrated I'm not with you right now. It has been hard on both of you. Deliver to Aiden my concern as well" she said with the sweetest tone I ever heard from her.
When she hung up, I suddenly can't bear the silence in the room. Another minute and I might go insane.
Just in time though, Aiden called me up to eat dinner.
