Asher watched his wife as they drove home. She seemed lost in her thoughts and so wrapped up in it that when he touched her hand she practically jumped. 

"Are you alright? Is this because I lost my cool earlier….I am sorry, okay?" He turned his head to the road briefly.

Pepper managed a weak smile and nodded. "I am fine"

She murmured.

Asher didn't believe her for one moment but he didn't press the issue further. 

When they got home, he moved his stuff into her room and he watched her as she went about her 'before bed' ritual in a robot kind of way.

When she changed into her nighties before 8pm, it confirmed something he already knew, Something was wrong.

Asher watched her curiously and since she wasn't comfortable sharing it with him, he needed to find a way to mend her relationship with June.
