Chapter 48: Mission Impossible (4)
" Junior Sister Rita, why are you here?" a young man dressed in brown robes looked at the young girl besides him as he interlocked his hands behind his back.
" Nothing much. I just want to see how that jerk is beaten to death." a cold look could be seen on Rita's face and she gripped the sword in her hands tight. Looking at his junior Sister, the young man smiled bitterly as he shook his head and continued watching from a distance.
A few moments later, about thirty men came into the court yard and surrounded the whole area as the stood into small groups of five and they stood in formations.Looking at their prey, they held onto their weapons and waited for instructions as they had discussed.
" You have been surrounded.Release our brothers and we shall leave your corpse in tact." said one of the leaders coldly.
Having finished his meal, Hedrick then stood up and held his bow as arrows were placed on the table in a well arranged number.Listening to the comment, Hedrick slightly smiled at turned towards the one who had spoken. He slowly reached for one of the arrows on the table and pointed at him and then slowly towards the rest.
" You really surprise me again and again.I thought the first person you would seek to rescue would be your leaders but I guess I was quite wrong.Dear leaders, your brothers seem to have forgotten about you and care less about your little lives." the statement made the leaders flare up in anger but didn't dare to move.
" You...! What did you do to Brother Beast." one of them asked angrily as he pointed at Hedrick with his finger trembling.
" No need to panic.Let's play a game. It will naturally be an easy one. The rule is just one that we all have to follow including me."
" Stop with the nosense. Release our brothers if not you will regret why you were born."another shouted.
" The rule is I say and you do. If you go against it a person dies."
" You seem to be the bravest. Since you were the first person to speak after you arrived. I'll give you the honor to play first." He said as he looked towards the man with a smile. The smile gave them a feeling that something was off.
" If you do it well. You'll not only save a life but also get a reward." said Hedrick.
" Grab the bow and arrow besides you and make sure you shoot dear young leader Len's thigh."
" Dream on. I'll never do it."
" Your choice you have ten seconds to accomplish your task."
When the ten seconds elapsed, Hedrick put the arrow on his bow and shoot at the rope making one of the bandits to fall onto the metallic pole with spikes. The bandit's body was pierced through from the back to the front as flowed from all over the body. The face was completely disfigured as spikes had come out of the mouth,eyes, nose , mouth , skull etc. The body scene made people look at Hedrick in fear.He seemed like a devil that had come from hell just to kill for fun. Looking at their brother's, the leader had the urge to attack but immediately stopped when Hedrick suddenly warned them with a smile.
" Oh! I almost forgot. Upon arriving at the grounds, you all activated a mechanism. For every step you take, one of your brother dies. Don't say I didn't warn you." He shrugged his shoulders with a innocent expression.
Most leaders spat out a mouthful of blood from anger when they heard the warning. Different thoughts rang in the minds of the leaders. Len and Lau immediately lost hope.
' This was more than just the devil. I'm sure if the devil was placed on the same standing with this person and competed on who can do more evil.This young man would surely win effortlessly if not even kill the devil. Did we just meet the devil in a young man's form?What did we do to anger the devil to this state?'
All those and more were the thoughts of everyone around.
"This jerk is really the Devil's Son.Thankfully he chased me away before it was too late." Rita said with fear and she no longer felt hatred from before.The scene and scheming before her was enough to show she was lucky to have stayed away from such a devil. Who knew the young boy was more dangerous than those demons and beasts.
' I would rather stay in the jungle than with him.You don't believe me,bring them before me and I'll show you.' Rita thought as she suddenly quivered when thinking about what the devil's son could do if they stayed together. Those scenes of the devil's son tying her up and them skinning her alive and then cutting out her tongue as he ate the meat fresh with blood.The scene of him saying how tasty it was cutting her flesh piece by piece.
Not wanting to imagine anymore,Rita quickly snapped out as goose pimples covered all over her body.
" Senior brother, I'll get going." said Rita.
" Why? what's the rush. You watch a little more.I think it's about to get interesting."
" No!no!no! no need. I remember I have something to do." said Rita as she quickly activated the portal and walked away.
' Do what! Watch a little more! No need.i would rather watch the devil killing than that son of the devil in action.Just enjoy yourself, no need for me.'those were Rita's thoughts as she moved away.
Looking at how his junior's walked away, the young man slightly smiled as he turned to continue watching. On turning,he found a pair of eyes looking in his direction and slowly the Devil's smile slowly formed causing the young man's heart to skip a beat.
