It didn't take long before Eiji's turn came.
Entering the classroom, he was greeted by dim lighting and the faint sound of wolves and giggling women, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
The classroom wasn't too big, so the students had turned it into a winding labyrinth.
Of course, Eiji wasn't affected by the lack of light thanks to Six Eyes.
Turning a corner, he suddenly encountered a beautiful woman with long black hair, her mouth wide open and covered with a mask.
"Am I beautiful?"
"..."
Eiji recognized the type of ghost portrayed by the female student in front of him. After all, he had faced her before.
Kuchisake Onna!
The origin of Kuchisake Onna is not entirely clear. Some stories describe her as a beautiful woman in the Heian period who was betrayed by her husband and had her mouth mutilated.
Other versions tell of her as a woman who underwent a failed plastic surgery.
"....?"
The female student playing Kuchisake Onna was confused by the lack of response from the young man in front of her.
The others party didn't seem scared either, just looking at her with indifference.
"Umm..."
The silence made her uncomfortable.
"Not bad, you look somewhat like the real Kuchisake Onna."
Leaving that sentence behind, Eiji passed by the stunned female student.
"Resembling the real one? Does that mean he has seen the real Kuchisake Onna?"
Thinking about this, the female student shivered.
She didn't feel like the young man was joking because of his lack of emotional tone.
On the other hand, Eiji was unaware that his casual remark had caused one of the ghost staff to resign.
As he walked around the mini maze, he encountered students playing ghosts to scare the visitors.
Sadako, Rokurokubi, Nukekubi, Teke-Teke, Hanako-san, Zashiki Warashi, and so on, none of the ghosts managed to elicit any emotion from Eiji.
Compared to the high school students' ghost makeup, Eiji had dealt with various Cursed Spirits with appearances tens of times scarier than ghosts. To him, this haunted house was just child's play.
Certainly, not all visitors had the same mental resilience as him. The screams of frightened visitors could be heard clearly in the not-so-large classroom.
After walking for a few minutes, Eiji found the person he was looking for.
"Kamiki-kun? You came?"
Wearing a plain white kimono fluttering in the wind and carrying a white folding fan, Kosaki exclaimed in surprise at Eiji's appearance.
"Oh, your role is Yuki-Onna."
Instead of being frightening, Kosaki looked beautiful and charming. This was Eiji's personal opinion.
"Um. Not scary, right? I told them there was no need to include Yuki-Onna in the haunted house, but my classmates didn't listen to my advice." Kosaki said helplessly.
Not only did she not scare people, but men who saw her would also be mesmerized. This caused arguments between couples.
She felt a little guilty.
"Um. You're not scary." Eiji nodded in agreement.
"I knew it... Kamiki-kun, will you wait for me? My shift will be over soon, and I'll accompany you around the school."
Kosaki wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to let Eiji enjoy the cultural festival.
"Of course, I'll wait."
"Thank you, it won't be long."
After they agreed, Eiji continued to explore the haunted house, while Kosaki went back to her duty of scaring the visitors, though it had the opposite effect.
"Please rate after experiencing the Class 3-A haunted house."
Walking out of the door, a male student handed paper and pen to Eiji and the other visitors.
When he opened the paper, Eiji saw that there was a rating of 1 star, the lowest, and 5 stars, the highest.
He wasn't one to lie, so he gave it a 1-star rating. The reason being, they failed to scare him.
Putting the paper into the provided box, he looked out at the field from the window's edge.
Eiji saw members of the discipline committee and student council members patrolling to maintain order or address any issues that arose.
"Hm? Bullying?"
Although the building across was quite far, it was no problem for a bearer of the Six Eyes like himself.
On the rooftop, he happened to see a group of delinquent students surrounding a skinny, bespectacled male student.
"No wonder Suguru-san looks down on non-Jujutsu Sorcerers and calls them monkeys. Are we (Jujutsu Sorcerers) protecting people like them by sacrificing our lives?"
Eiji frowned as he watched one of the delinquent students step on the bullied male student's head and spit on him, while his friends laughed hysterically as if watching a comedy show.
This bullying had crossed the line and entered criminal territory due to the violence involved.
"It's disgusting."
After seeing one of the male students smoking and trying to extinguish the cigarette butt on the bullied student's forehead, Eiji couldn't bear to just watch anymore.
Their actions of oppressing the weak but fearing the strong made him sick.
"Emerge from the darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure."
On the rooftop where the bullies were committing their vile deeds, they were unaware that dark material, almost like liquid, was dripping from the sky to form an outer barrier in the shape of a half sphere.
Except for Jujutsu Sorcerers, ordinary people didn't realize that a barrier had been erected.
Just because Eiji hardly ever set up a Curtain personally didn't mean he couldn't use this barrier technique.
"Interesting."
In the midst of the crowd, there was an adult man dressed as a monk and accompanied by two high school girls. He looked at the Curtain with a thin smile.
"Geto-sama, look, there's a Curtain!"
"Nanako, you're stupid, Geto-sama knows without you telling him."
"Who are you calling stupid, Mimiko!"
"Don't argue, we're here to have fun, right?"
"Yes, Geto-sama." (2x)
The three of them were Geto Suguru, Hasaba Nanako, and Hasaba Mimiko.
Although Suguru's attire was quite peculiar, it wasn't too conspicuous at the cultural festival where students wore various costumes to attract attention.
"Let me help you, Eiji."
A lump of flesh appeared in his hand, and he threw it towards the Curtain.
"Hm? That... a Cursed Spirit... So Suguru-san is here too."
Eiji immediately recognized the owner of the Cursed Energy on the Cursed Spirit that flew towards the Curtain. Guessing the other party's intentions, he opened a small gap in Curtain so that the Cursed Spirit in the form of a flesh ball could enter.
After entering, the flesh ball transformed into a Class 3 Cursed Spirit resembling a Teke-Teke ghost.
"It feels like a Pokémon Trainer throwing a Poké Ball to summon a Pokémon." Commented Eiji.
His initial plan was to set up the Curtain to prevent the screams of pain from the bullies as he exploded their hands and feet using Blue. However, he changed his mind after seeing the Cursed Spirit sent by Suguru.
Eiji even opened their inner eyes so they could see the Cursed Spirit.
