Chapter 34: Fear of the unknown
Emily paced back and forth in her home, her mind racing with worry. She had no idea what was happening between Julian and Sophia, but she knew it couldn't be good. Julian's reputation for ruthlessness was well-known, and Sophia had foolishly provoked him.
Emily's heart raced as she thought about the potential consequences. She had seen Julian's cruel side before, and she knew he would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. She feared for Sophia's safety, and her own.
As the hours ticked by, Emily's anxiety grew. She couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had settled in her stomach. She knew Julian was capable of terrible things, and she didn't know what he would do next.

"Julian, what happened?" Emily asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
