"You are hurt "Lord Niko stared at my face and pushed the strands of hair back to check on the blood splutters.

"It's the creature's blood" I responded in assurance and held onto Niko's hands.

"Why do you sound weak?" Niko demanded and I knew he could sense the way my body had weakened instantly.

"Niko, I panicked. Being separated from you felt like death. Plus, the fucking creature threw its dark magic powers around me, and it was choking my body. Hence, I had to push back, and it took a lot of my witches' powers to restrain it. My mind was exhausted as I tried to communicate with you and keep it at bay" I explained to him.
