Chapter 36: EP36

Bella sat at the table watching him, her face showing concern as she entered the dining room. A paper napkin he played with lay in pieces on the table. He quickly dropped the tortured paper and placed his hands in his lap.

She smiled, trying to reassure him that she would take care of him. He looked at Chrissie, her focus returning to her bare chest, still unbuttoned.

Thompson said, "Good night, Chrissie. I'll call you tomorrow."

She twisted a dark lock around her finger, grinning at him. "Sure. I'll be waiting."

Diana took Hompson outside and then locked the door. Now, for Chrissie's suspension.

She walked back to the kitchen. For a moment she didn't realize that Chrissie had already left. She looked at Bella curiously.

She got up from her seat. "She told me to say good night to you and she ran out the back door. She thought we should have met more and needed to take some beauty rest for her date with Thompson tomorrow."
