ran down a street and then was thrown in front of the shops that lined the street. Bella finally took a sigh of relief when she got to the SUV.

He hurried her into the car, jumped into the driver's seat, and they drove off. Going down the main road, he headed in the opposite direction from his house in case someone tried to follow them. "Are you okay Bella?"

He nodded, his hands shaking as he fastened his seat belt.

"Did you learn anything about the killer from the Reds?"

She grinned. The idea occurred to me that they were rummaging through a hornet's nest. "Only Viki came and all the reds want me dead."

He ran his hand on her hip and immediately woke up. "We can't let that happen."

He chuckled. "I have no intention." He could handle any red. Even all three at once unless Bella is nothing to worry about.

She looked calmer as she moved away from the club.
