Then she noticed the dark skin under her eyes. "Ok." He pointed to the kitchen. "The garage door is this way."

"He'll be right back. Undress, I'll meet you in bed." She waited for him to accept.

"Are you still worried that I might escape?" He folded his arms and raised an eyebrow.

"No. Not that you want to catch the killer." His voice was angry.

"Then you can sleep on the couch."

"In your dreams."

She chuckled and intended to go to the bedroom when she realized how wilted the potted plants were and took a detour to the kitchen. He swore that as soon as he watered the ficus trees and ivy, they immediately came to life. Then she went into the bedroom and looked out the window at her greenhouse. Chrissie would make sure everything was well watered, she was sure. It seemed like years had passed since your last time here, not just a few days.
