She freed Tanner's fingers from a lock of her hair. "If you touch me again, you'll lose your fingers."

The cousins all laughed, but Derek gave them a look as if he'd be the one to carry out Bella's threat if they didn't act.

It was approaching one o'clock in the morning when they arrived at the hotel. With obvious disdain, Derek's cousins reluctantly drove off into the dark in separate vehicles. Argos embraced Bella warmly in the parking lot of the five-story hotel. She was her long-lost father, and her heart ached knowing that she might never see him again.

"Welcome back to the pack, Bella. See you soon."

She instantly fueled his anger. She would never return to Viki again, she. "Good to see you again, Argos. Take care."
