Chapter 15: Kido.
1 week had passed since Nanao started to teach Mugai Kido.
Saying that Mugai was a fast learner was an understatement. Nanao was astonished and jealous of his talent at first mostly because he could perform any kido she used just by looking at it once with the same output as her without using a chant. However he still study quite a lot in order to understand the theory behind it and Nanao was a person who respected a studious person. After a couple of days though she understood that even though he showed off a little he didn't just relay on his Genius and atchually worked hard in order to understand the theory.
She eventually thought him every Bakudo and Hado upto 60 in a week after giving him 5 hour lessons due to her curiosity to watch him grow.
She still hesitated a little to teach him Hado weaving but eventually settled on teach him how to weave Bakudo together since it was defensive spells and no one would complain even if it was taught.
She did not want to teach him too much as of yet because she knew that The central 46 was always looking for reasons to brand anyone who was talented enough a threat and stop their growth fearing that they might revolt.
She didn't want her Student to be sent to the Maggots nest or worse exicuted for it.
Over the days Nanao had grown quite Fond of him as even though he was a bit irritating, deep down she knew that he was caring. Also she had gotten used to him Calling her Nanao-Chan sensei by now.
Currently they where walking towards a sweet shop that sold Dango and Coffee, the specific reason being that Nanao didn't like tea and Mugai loved Dango.
"Student Mugai, you really shouldn't waste your stipend on such things".
"Haha that's a good one Nanao-Chan sensei, how would I be wasting money since sensei is paying".
"I am not treating you". Nanao said while fixing her glasses.
"Not even if I say please". Mugai said as he made the best Begging face one could. The face coupled with his looks would make the devil feel pity for him.
"Haaa. Fine but only 3 sticks". Nanao said.
"6 sticks". Mugai bargained.
"5 sticks and we are done". Nanao said in final.
"Thank you sensei, you are the best". Mugai said as he jumped around her.
"Mugai stop behaving like a child, otherwise no Dango for you".
"Yes mam, sorry mam". Mugai said in mock salute.
'He is becoming more and more Troublesome now a days, even more than captain Shunsui'. Nanao thought but the smile tugging on her lips told that she quite liked her student.
Both of them sat down with 2 plates of dango and 2 cups of coffee as Mugai talked again.
"Nanao-Chan sensei, I got offerings from the five great noble houses requesting me to join their family as an adoptive relative".
"Ha..which one of the five?".
"Four of them, I got a letter from Tsunayashiro Clan and the Shihōin Clan while Gengorō sensei told me that both Kuchiki and Shiba clans wanted to talk with me about adoption.".
"Wow that's quite something, to think that 4 of the 5 would compete for you, shows how much of a talent you are". Nanao complimented him
"Although I am a bit unhappy that the Ise family didn't send me an invite despite me being your favourite student". Mugai said in a hurt tone.
"I am sorry Mugai but the reason i didn't invite you is because the clan is only made up of women and the The Ise clan is Cursed. It's not because of me not Wanting to invite you but rather I can't and shouldn't invite you.". Nanao said in the most serious and Apologetic tone she could muster.
"Sensei don't bow you head....Here have a dango". Mugai said as if he was panicked.
"Oh I know.. Sensei which family should I join?, I want your opinion".
"Depends, although I would not recommend the Tsunayashiro clan their are shady people in the clan that's all I am going to say. If you really want my recommendation then join The Shiba clan even though they aren't as glorious as they used to be they are the most comfortable family you can ask for and someone like you will definitely enjoy it". Nanao said as she looked at Mugai with a Motherly smile.
"Alright then I shall join the Shiba!".
"Heh..no you need to listen to the other's request and then choose-". Nanao was cutt off.
"Nope sensei said Shiba so I am joining Shiba".
Nanao sighed and Gave him a dango from her plate as she said. "Don't just make life changing decisions in a second my favourite student".
"Even if you say so you look happy that I chose them. Hah don't tell me that they atchually bought you off and all of this was a trap to make me join the Shiba...Sensei how many dango did they give you to trick me and can I have some of it?".
"Hah and you ruined the good moment". Both of them laughed.
Another week passed and Mugai's life didn't change much at all.
He wrote a letter saying No to the Shihōin Clan and the Tsunayashiro clan while he planned to say no to the Kuchiki in person when they came to meet him as well as saying yes to Shiba clan if they where still interested.
He in the mornings would attend the library and at the afternoon he would learn Kido from Nanao. And train Tōshiro and Momo in the evening. He stopped going to classes altogether and now only attended the Homeroom.
To others it looked like he was slacking off due to him having all the requirements to enter the Gotei 13 already and Most of not all the nobles in the class where jealous of him.
Nanao was currently teaching him Kido weaving and it was more complex than he thought as creaton of a new kido ment re-inventing an entirely new wavelength by combining or tweaking the wavelength of different kido's frequency in order to create a new one.
Currently he was using a new kido that he invented by tweaking Bakudo number 26 Kyokkō in order to make it sound proof as well as making sure that it would allow movement to some extent.
An unexpected friendship between Momo and Nanao also bloomed as both of them could relate to each others as kido geniuses.

"Mugai I have a question. Why can't I sense your Reaitsu at all". Nanao asked him one day.
"Hm why the sudden question Nanao-Chan sensei".
"I always thought that you were talanted in hiding it but after watching you upclose and practice as well as how my captain also said that he couldn't sence any from you. I was wondering if it's a new technique that you created".
"It's not a technique that I created but rather that I don't give off any Reiatsu at all.".
"That's impossible no matter how small all Spirutal beings above a certain level give off Reiatsu using the vents in their wrist and-". She was about to continue when Mugai brought out his sword half in his hand while half outside.
"You see..My sword eats my Reiatsu and since it's stored in my body the process is constant although I can stop it it's best to not do so as it makes me invisible in a way".
Ofcourse this was a lie. The real reason was that the Reaitsu was absorbed and diluted as well as eaten into nothingness by the void inside of him in order to not cause harm to others around him.
Mugai was a transcendent being and similar to Hogyoku Aizen or Dangai ichigo his Reiatsu was something that others won't be able to sence even if he let it out in its true form the fact that he combined with his Zanpakutō was proof of it however realising it in its undiluted form would completely eradicate souls below a certain treashold who couldn't handle it and make even captains bow before it.
Although he could release it in diluted form, he rather be invisible to the world than keep releasing an Immeasurable amount of Reaitsu all the time.
"I still don't understand how you can keep your blade inside your body or how you attained shikai in less than a minute". Nanao said smiling.
"The secret to that is .... Nanao-Chan sensei's student number 1 is a genius". Mugai said as if stating a fact.

Currently Mugai was standing in the kido training grounds provided to him by the school waiting for Nanao.
"Nanao-Chan sensei sure is late today...I have a bad feeling".
He waited till a little into the Evening and eventually his patience wore out as he started to walk towards the school grounds.
As he was Stopped by a group of Ninjas from the Second division that appeared in front of him. Along with them was Shunsui Kyoraku who's eyes where shadowed by the Bamboo hat that he wore.
"Mugai-kun could you please follow me". It was statedas an order rather than a request but Mugai followed.
While walking Mugai asked Kyoraku a question."Ano Captain Kyoraku is Nanao-Ch..I mean Nanao sensei alright..she hasn't shown up to my class today?".
