Chapter 34: Search

As we entered the mansion, I could feel the sense of unease or apprehension that Detective Cruz and the other police officers were experiencing. Well, I couldn't blame them; after all, Mr. Siapno was a powerful man, with connections that reached deep into the heart of Veilhaven's Country.

But we had a job to do, and nothing was going to stop me from getting my revenge. So, I reminded them, "Stay focused, everyone. We're here for a reason, and we need to stick to the plan. Let's keep our wits about us and get this done."

Sigh. What wimps these people are. I hope they do their job well. There couldn't be anything wrong with my plan.

Together, we combed through every room of the mansion, searching for any sign of illegal activity. The tension in the air was palpable as we moved from one room to the next, our eyes scanning for any hidden compartments or secret stashes.
