Angela woke up as the sun's rays hit her eyes. Getting up, she discovered she was naked and saw Maxwell lying next to her, also naked. She got up and put on her clothes immediately as she also tried to dress Maxwell up. When she was done, she went to Henry's room and knocked lightly on the door.
His room was opened so she got in. He was still sleeping as she tapped him gently to collect the money he had promised her earlier. She searched for it in his wardrobe when she saw a large envelope. She opened it and saw that it was filled with money.
"This must be it." She said to herself as she pulled it out when something fell off. It was a small silver key.
"Hmm." She exclaimed as she put it back from where it fell when she noticed a small box on top of the drawer. Her curiosity drew her in, making her pull it down. She noticed that it was locked and tried the key into it which got opened.
Angela was mesmerized to see the box filled with lots of gold and money. Without thinking twice, she started to pack some into her bag.
"It's so many that he won't notice." She said to herself with a smile as she continued to steal some of the money and gold. She heard Henry coughing so she quickly put back the box and tiptoed out of the room.
She had reached the front door of the house when she realized that she didn't carry the camera. She cursed within her as she went back quickly to get it when she met Maxwell standing at the last upper staircase, holding a camera in his hand.
"You forgot this?" He asked her as she was fazed. Her whole body shook with fear.
"Give it to me." She let the words shamelessly out of her mouth.
"Hmm?" He said to her as he looked at the camera.
"I wonder why this is so important to you." He added.
"How did you find it? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" Angela asked him.
"I heard footsteps in my room and woke up. I went to open my window and it fell off
I wondered who put it there and was about to go back to bed when I heard footsteps running down the stairs. Don't say it was my uncle because I heard heel not wedge or slippers! So what are you doing here?" Maxwell asked her.
"I…I…last night…yes…I...we…" Angela stuttered.
"Have you suddenly become a stutterer?" He mocked her with an evil smile.
"What's happening? Why is he so cold to me after confessing his feelings to me last night? Am I dreaming? I need to get out of here first without letting him know anything! Especially the camera!" She battled with those thoughts in her mind.
"I was here last night for dinner…with you and your uncle…remember? You also said you love me?" Angela tried to explain and said the last sentence with a low hope.
"What did you say?" He asked her with that child face of his.
"Nothing. Just give it back and I'll leave." Angela replied, changing the topic.
"Come and have it." He said to her as he stretched his hand to her, with the camera.
Just as she was trying to collect it, she slipped off, missing a stair. He was quick enough to hold her from her back. Her eyes mesmerized him, her cheeks turned red and her full lips parted. He locked his gaze in hers as she slowly closed her eyes, as if expecting something.
Maxwell looked at her and pushed her away, causing her to fall to the ground. She bit her back so hard and wished he didn't even hold her from the start. Her bag items spilled out. He bent down to help her pick them up, carrying her identity card. They were two, one at the front and another, at the back in a case.
It had the name, Angela Hudun's with a different lady's picture while behind it, it had Beatrice Walter and had her photo on it.
Maxwell looked up at her with a suspicious look. Angela noticed this as she smiled, until she saw the card with him.
"Who is this? You aren't Angela, am I right?" He asked her and her face became pale and terrified.
"N..no sir…I am." She replied.
"And who is Beatrice?" He asked her as he glanced at the card again.
"That's my other name…" She was so quick to reply.
"Right. I hope you can tell that to the cops." Maxwell left her with a shocking notice.
"What? I swear it's me." She pleaded with him.
"Right. You've lied and deceived everyone in the office! You are such a terrible liar!" He yelled at her face and just then, his uncle came behind him.
"What's going on here?" He asked as he saw the scenario before him.
"It seems we have an impostor working with us!" Maxwell replied.
"What do you mean?" He asked Maxwell as Angela began to cry, trying to gain sympathy from them or from Henry rather.
Knowing fully well that she was defeated, she bent down her head and grasped the flower vase just behind her. She lifted it to hit Maxwell on the head but she was late as he got hold.of her wrist and squeezed it tight. She begged him to let her go as he was hurting her but he only squeezed harder.
Not long after, the cops arrived and took her away.
"Who called the cops?" Henry asked no one in particular but his question was being directed to Maxwell.
"I did before getting out of my room." Maxwell replied as he folded his hand across his chest. Henry watched as Angela or rather, Beatrice was being dragged away by the cops.
"Don't forget your bag!" Maxwell said to her as the cops released her to go get it. She mishandled it as it fell. The money and gold that she had stolen fell off from her bag.
"Woah woah woah woah….what's these? Did you steal from me?" Henry exclaimed in shock on seeing the stolen items.
