Chapter 11: The Routine of a Young Nobleman

Part 1: Life in the New World

Shun, that's what I was called in a past life. But it's been a while since I was reincarnated into this world, which at first seemed unreal to me, for several reasons.

At first, everything seemed like a mix of a dream and a nightmare, but over time, I ended up getting used to everything. The culture, the language, the people, the magic, including some animals and beasts originating from this world.

Niel Silva, this was my role in this new life. Growing up as a noble from the Clover Kingdom, in one of the royal families with an impressive magical history, being direct descendants of the first Wizard King.

But make no mistake, because the only advantage I had gained from this was being born with an enormous amount of magical power. Furthermore, I was forced to deal with quite a few situations as a noble.

I have vague memories of when I was younger, everything seemed perfect and was going wonderfully. But as soon as the woman who gave me life died, things slowly started to fall apart.

My dear sister, Noelle, and I have had to carry the guilt of our mother's death for all these years.

This made us look bad over the years, some servants always said cruel things about us, but it wasn't even close to what my idiot older brothers said.

I didn't really care about all this daily nonsense, but I couldn't see Noelle suffering daily for something she wasn't even to blame for.

I would end up always being there and not allowing anyone to bully her, no matter who she was.

I also tried to make her days happier, so she could get rid of so much that she heard day after day. I hope yesterday's tour of the city helped you with that.

The only person who could end all this, did nothing because he considered this the way to keep us safe from the clutches of the world, this was my older brother, Nozel. I even understood his intentions, but this method was not ideal, not by a long shot.

Like him, I knew the truth about what had happened that day to our mother. But we both can't tell others the truth for different reasons.

But even if everyone knew, I'm afraid it wouldn't help at all. Because there was another reason why Noelle and I were immensely discriminated against.

That was because...

Even though we had an enormous amount of magical power, our talent for using magic was very scarce, giving rise to nicknames such as "useless" or even "cursed".

But I'll go into more detail about this case soon, it's time to focus a little on the present.

Part 2: The Faithful Confidant

The next morning I found myself in my quarters, waking up from a long nap. The room was spacious and elegantly decorated, with fine wood furniture and heavy curtains that blocked out the morning light.

After my morning shower, I started preparing for today. Wearing soft and elegant clothes, in typical Silva style.

As I finished getting ready, I heard someone knocking on the door. At this time, it should be Albert, my devoted personal servant.

After my confirmation, he walked in with his respectful expression. "Good morning, young master. Everything is ready for us to start the day."

I thanked Albert and expressed my gratitude for his constant presence. Albert, a middle-aged man with a firm gaze and upright posture, bowed formally in response. "It is an honor to serve you, young master."

So, we left my quarters towards the royal library. I was eager to deepen my understanding of magic, a subject that had always fascinated me, and discover more about our family's roots and history in the kingdom.

As we walked through the majestic hallways, I could feel the gazes of the house servants. They bowed respectfully, but their mean words didn't go unnoticed by me.

"Look, it's one of the cursed twins."

"How can Mr. Albert undertake to serve someone with so little talent for magic?"

As I said before, this type of occurrence was already part of the routine, so much so that I no longer paid attention, I just went on my way with Albert, pretending not to hear anything.

We arrived at the royal library, where I went straight to a certain book, a very special one.

"Magic Theory: Volume 3"

That was a book written by an ancient Wizard King, which contained valuable information on how to shape magical energy and release spells more effectively.

Well, thanks to the teachings in those books, the aspect of my magic for which I was considered a failure has improved a lot. But almost no one knew about it, I preferred to keep my progress a secret.

When I began my studies on Volume One, Albert seemed quite shocked at first. Because according to him, that was a book that many had given up on understanding, due to its content, which was considered quite difficult.

But it seemed really easy to me, I think he was just exaggerating or something.

As I delved deeper into my studies, Albert served tea and appetizers with the precision of a master host. He was not only a butler, but also a valued confidant, offering wise advice beyond everyday tasks.

After hours of dedicated study, I decided it was time to leave the library and move on to the next phase of my day.

"I think that's enough for today, I learned what I needed, thank you for your assistance Albert."

"It was a pleasure, young master."

"Well, you can rest now. I intend to go to the training field, I need to put into practice what I learned today."

Albert understood my decision and respectfully replied, "Good luck, young master. If you need anything, I will be at your disposal."

Before leaving, I thanked Albert. "If it weren't for you, many things would be more difficult. I thank you for your loyalty and constant support."

So, I headed towards the Silver Eagles training camp, located near the Silva residence. It was an empty day, so there would be no problem taking advantage of the space.

When I got there, a single person was training with iron determination.

Her red hair flowed and her blue eyes seemed focused as she practiced her swordsmanship.

Her beauty and curves were mesmerizing, she was a woman I knew well, Hilda, my master.

"Incredible!" I couldn't help but exclaim, the way she moved was impressive.

However, with her heightened perception, she stopped her attacks and looked at me seriously.

"If you're going to stand there and watch, it would be more productive to join me in training."

At this point, I decided to approach and greeted her respectfully.

"Good morning, master. I apologize for interrupting you...thank you for the invitation, but I plan to practice my magic today."

She seemed to understand and nodded, "I understand. However, improving your sword skills is also important."

If you finish your training early, I will be waiting for you here for a duel. It's been a while since the last time."

Although I maintained respect in my voice, there was an evident reluctance in my eyes. Because she was a true fighting enthusiast, and our training would always end with me with a broken bone or limb.

With a resigned sigh, I ended up agreeing, "Understood, master. I will strive to finish early and I will be at your disposal for training."

Satisfied, she showed an excited smile and concluded, "Very well, young master. Prepare yourself, because the training will be intense."

I nodded in agreement, knowing what awaited me.

So, we went our separate ways, she back to her fencing training, and I in search of improving my magical skills.
