Chapter 20: Jackson Lynn is in town

Charlotte picked on her nails, not sure how to explain how it happened to her friend.

" I was angry, he came looking for you and I gave it to him, every word I would think of I put him in his place but in the process it slipped my mouth," Charlotte explained, her eyes full of concern.

"Why would he look for me? After all he did to me?" Selene mumbled, feeling confused.

"So much happened when you left, but that's not for me to tell Lene," Charlotte said, looking at her worriedly.

"I also have something to confess," Charlotte said softly, as if what she were about to say worried her.

"What is it Charlotte?" Selene asked, waiting for the next bomb to fall.

"I slept with his friend, and we liked each other but as soon as I knew he was Jake's friend I dumped him, but he's really sincere, we've been talking online but not about you, and he's sort of coming to see me soon," Charlotte explained breathlessly.
