Chapter 36: Don't shoot her

Jake looked at his step-brother in disbelief. Asher's obsession over his wife unsettled him, making him feel uneasy about having him around her.

"I'll join you to look for her," Asher offered to the officers.

"You will not go anywhere, Asher, and don't test me!" Jake argued as he addressed him angrily.

"Look Sir right now we need all the help we can get, I don't think this is the right time for whatever this is," one of the officers said, making Jake lower his head.

Asher took out his phone to contact Leo, "Update me Leo?" He inquired hoping for some helpful news.

"I think I might have good news sir," Leo reported, making Asher's heart filled with a leap of hope.

"Out with it Leo, what is it?" Asher asked desperately to hear the news.

"I found Blake's location just outside Minnesota," Leo reported making Asher smile victoriously.
