Summer and Valentine sat beneath a shimmering chandelier in the penthouse's dining room, the view of Washington DC was amazing, and the atmosphere between the two was one that they'd both end up remembering for years.
It was cozy, familiar, and felt as if it would last forever.
"Is the view to your liking," Valentine asked in a deep and low tone.
"Yes, it's lovely…" she turned her head away from the city to look at the man who sat across from her with an empty plate. "Was the food to your liking?" She asked in a hopeful tone.
"Frankly, I'm not sure I have ever had something better in my entire life,"
Summer gave him a shy smile, "That's very generous of you," her shy smile turned into a wide smile thinking about how she was able to salvage the situation and put together a decent spaghetti Bolognese together.
"No, I'm serious," he insisted.
"So my boyfriend likes my food, it's good to know..."
Hey guys, so I had planned out many more chapters for this book but due to the very shy interaction I've been getting from readers, I've taken the decision to end it in here and focus on starting another novel as an entry for WSA 2023. I really wanted to write a chapter about their wedding though! Maybe a side story?
It turned out to be a short journey, still, I hope you enjoyed it, thank you for reading Valentine for Summer, let me know what you thought of it! <3
